Iris McCrow

Iris has lived in Dorset all her life. She always enjoyed art at school and liked to draw, but never really started to paint until she took A level art in adult education.

Iris was a prize winner in a painting competition held by a national newspaper and also received the BAS Presidents Award for more improved artist.

She is a member of Broadstone Art Society and has been on the committee for the last 13 years. Iris is the current chairperson, but her first role was summer programme organiser, when she began ‘Plein Air’ painting. The majority of her painting is done on location whenever possible she paints outside where she is most inspired, especially along the coastline. She uses all media and also enjoys life drawing and portraiture.
