Christine Clark

As a mature student I took Art 'A' level followed by three years flexi study at Poole College. This greatly broadened my outlook and appreciation of the work of great artists, studying with John Bowen with the added advantage of access to the College collection of art works by many famous and influential artists, e.g. Henry Moore and John Bratby.

I paint mainly in Acrylic, occasionally in watercolour and also mixed media.

I am a member of Broadstone Art Society, where I was for many years the club Secretary. I enjoy portrait and life drawing, including pet portraits, still life painting and in the past couple of years, inspired by a visit to the Davit Hockney exhibition at the R.A., have ventured into the great outdoors more often to paint and enjoy the patterns in the landscape and around the coast.

I have exhibited with: Broadstone Art Society, Sherborne Art Club, Blandford Art Club, Peacock Gallery Open exhibitions and in recent years, at exhibitions in Wimborne and Bournemouth, helping to raise funds for the Lewis Manning Hospice and the Church House Charities.

I am happy to undertake commissions.
